This is a cute hidden object game. You are moving through a forest/ jungle/ savannah/ bottom of the ocean etc. exploring the habitat of different animals. The goal is to find various different items for each creature (fish for a polar bear etc.) The game is very simple though it can be hard to find some of the objects at times as they all blend so well with the environment. There is a hint button in form of a sliding puzzle if you get stuck. The location of the items changes slightly with every play through so the game has some replayability.

The game is visually beautiful. The blend of watercolor illustrations and subtle music sets a very relaxing tone.

I'd not recommend the game to those who like story driven or action filled games as there is none of that in here. It's a more relaxing, meditative, anxiety-reducing kind of game. Good for young children or those who want to unwind for a bit.
. Got it on sale. A great game to wind down with before bed or to relax when anxiety sets in. Super soothing and the objects are never *too* difficult to find.. Not very long, but beautiful. I loved the colours and effects. It's not life-changing, but surely a nice and quiet time in nature.. A relxaing hidden object game, with beautiful artwork. Found it to be a great way to unwind and destress.. What a wonderful hidden object game ♡ Easy gameplay to get into, beautifully designed, and enjoyable for hours.. it cute fun game easy to look for thing some time. The game looks easy, but it' not. Even as an adult I had difficulties to find all animals, especially the snake level was hard for me (try to find green salamanders in the green forest ...). For kids it is simple to play and the music and ambient sound create the feeling as if you are really in that environment. And the artwork is perfect for children! Realistic but sweet. Love the game!. I love playing hidden object games, looking for clues and solving puzzles. I thought that "Under Leaves" would be a standard hidden object game. It's not. Instead of following a story line and trying to save time/the world/your family/the universe, you find objects for animals. Each animals wants you to search through 2 or more connected pages to find plants, animals, acorns, sea anemones,... It varies according to the animal's environment.

And although it wasn't what I expected, I found that I loved playing this game. Some of the brown/yellow/orange areas proved to be more difficult (and no, I don't know why I had more trouble with certain background colors). But I enjoyed myself anyway.

I recommend this to everyone who likes the hidden object aspect of puzzle games.. Haiku Review
